Candice Norcott

Ph.D. Licensed Clinical Psychologist

My work centers on one belief: behavioral health programs work best when they're built with intention — grounded in clinical expertise, designed for the people they serve, and sustainable enough to outlast any single person. I help health systems and academic medical centers build those programs.

Areas of Expertise

Women's Behavioral Health Program Development
I help health systems and academic medical centers build integrated behavioral health programs for women from the ground up. Drawing on nearly a decade of experience building a clinical program that now serves approximately 700 patients per year across multiple campuses, I bring operational knowledge of what it actually takes — referral infrastructure, staffing models, cross-departmental relationships, and clinical frameworks — to turn a vision into a functioning program.

Reproductive & Perinatal Mental Health
People navigating pregnancy, postpartum, pregnancy loss, and abortion care have distinct and often underserved mental health needs. I bring clinical expertise and program development experience in perinatal mental health and abortion care, helping organizations build services that meet patients where they are with evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care.

Menopause & Sexual Health
Menopause and sexual health represent a growing and frequently overlooked frontier in women's behavioral health. I help organizations develop clinical services and provider education that address the psychological dimensions of menopause, sexual functioning, and midlife transitions — moving beyond symptom management toward comprehensive, relationship-centered care.

Physician & Trainee Well-Being
Burnout, moral injury, and psychological distress among physicians and trainees are institutional problems that require institutional solutions. As the first GME Well-Being Director in my department's history, I built a tiered well-being ecosystem from scratch — including peer infrastructure, early intervention programming, and a dedicated psychiatric care pathway. I help organizations move beyond wellness perks toward sustainable, structurally embedded well-being programs that residents and faculty actually use.
